Joey was hired when Jimmy Carter was President as a temporary job for the winter, 43 years later he is still an employee. He has been supervisor and/or manager for 39 of those 43 years. Joey has seen Mayer grow from a 3 floor 22,000 sq. ft warehouse to the 73,000 sq. ft. current home of Mayer Fabrics. Joey enjoys cooking his famous omelets and wings at Mayer’s employee appreciation functions.
Joey has been married to his “Lovely Bride” Lin for 38 years. They have 2 children, Jordan and Dalton, a son-in-law Kevin, and grandson Jake. He is interested in all sports including his love for racing at the Indianapolis Speedrome, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He is an avid golfer and has been a basketball coach for 26 years.
Joey is always looking for a good time, like his rides in the country in his convertible with his wife and their labradoodle Abbey.
