Mike Varljen - National Sales Director

Mike has his BS degree in Business Management and a MS degree in Interior Design. He started his textile career with Milliken Carpet and soon moved to Maharam where he learned about fabrics. After 10 years in the industry, he decided to open his own Independent Rep company called Focal Pointe where he represented David Edward, Magnuson Group, Mayer Fabrics, Skyline Glass and Westin-Nielson. 17 years ago, Mayer Fabrics asked him to join them as their National Sales Manager. 

Mike lives on Lake Norman in North Carolina with his partner Mark and their 2 dogs, Teagan and Sophie. He enjoys all water sports, travel (wants to see the world), cooking and baking. He also is a member of the Bourbon Boys, a group of guys in his neighborhood that enjoy bourbon together. 

Mike’s favorite Mayer pattern is Caspian, not only for its simple, classic design, but also for its environmental story about cleaning up the oceans.
